Clear, Flowing Gutters

Gutter Cleaning for North Idaho Homes

Packed gutters can't move water. We clear the needles, cones, and debris, flush your downspouts, and tell you exactly what we found while we were up there.

Why It Matters Here

Clogged Gutters Cause Real Damage

A clogged gutter isn't a cosmetic problem. Once needles and cones pack a run solid, water spills over the front edge, soaks the fascia, and pools against your foundation. In our climate that same blockage holds water through the first hard freeze, and the ice that forms adds weight your hangers were never sized to carry.

Between pine, fir, cedar, and birch, most homes here collect debris nearly year-round. Spring runoff and fall needle drop are the two times it matters most. We clean gutters on homes with no covers, on rentals and cabins the owners can't get to, and on any system that's due before winter sets in.

What's Included

A Complete Gutter Cleaning

We don't just scoop the easy sections. Every cleaning covers the full run, the downspouts, and a look at the condition of the system itself. Debris comes off your roof and out of your gutters, not onto your beds and walkways.

Debris Removal

We clear the full length of every gutter run by hand — needles, cones, leaves, shingle grit, and the packed sludge at the bottom that most people miss.

Pine Needle Focus

Needles are the hard part in North Idaho. They mat together, hold water, and slip straight into downspouts. We work the runs until the channel is actually clear.

Downspout Flush

Every downspout gets flushed and checked for flow. If one's blocked partway down, we clear it and make sure water is discharging away from your foundation.

Visual Inspection

While we're on the ladder we check hangers, seams, joints, and fascia for sagging, separation, rot, or leaks — and we tell you what we see either way.

Spring & Fall Scheduling

Most homes here do best with a spring cleaning after runoff and a fall cleaning after needle drop. We can put you on the schedule so it doesn't get forgotten.

Leaf Guard Prep

If you'd rather not do this twice a year, we can clean the system first and talk through cover options while we're here. Covers go over a clean, sound gutter.

How It Works

Our Gutter Cleaning Process

1

Inspect

We walk the house first to see how much debris there is, check downspout locations, and note any damage before we start.

2

Clean

We clear each run by hand, working section by section so nothing gets pushed into a downspout or left packed in a corner.

3

Flush

Once the runs are clear we flush the gutters and downspouts with water to confirm everything drains the way it should.

4

Walkthrough

Before we go we walk you through what we found — how bad it was, anything that needs repair, and whether covers make sense for your home.

Common Questions

Gutter Cleaning FAQ

For most homes without covers, twice a year — spring after runoff and fall after the needles drop. If your roof sits under heavy pine, fir, or cedar, you may need a third visit. We'll tell you what your specific property needs after the first cleaning.

Not the way an uncovered home does. Leaf guard dramatically reduces the need for cleaning, but we still recommend an occasional visual inspection to make sure everything is flowing properly. Fine debris can build on top of a cover, and valleys and inside corners are worth a look.

Yes. Covers go over a clean, sound gutter or they don't work right. If you're planning to add leaf guard, we clean the system first and check the hangers, seams, and fascia while we're up there. Anything that needs repair gets handled before the covers go on.

It depends on the linear footage, the height and pitch of your roof, and how much debris has built up. A single-story home that's cleaned every year is a very different job than a two-story that hasn't been touched in five. We provide free estimates with no obligation.
